Nang ḵ’al hlG̱ahl
The Black Skinned one, possibly a black condor, that lived in the high places.

Prior to the arrival of the Bald Eagle, was this giant black bird Nang k’al hlGahl. It had a wing span about 4 to 5 du skasgad (arm-spans or fathoms) or 24 to 30 feet wide. It left sometime after the ice to the north became real thick and has not been seen for many generations. After the ice melted that’s when the Bald Eagle came up north.
